Fall Has Fell

Well, not quite. But the first VERY mild cold front is bringing relief to SW Florida.

These are the first wispy cirrus clouds seen in several months.

200!

Well, isn't this a milestone. I have missed two blocks of time in posting, but this is post #200. So, here is the image to celebrate.

It reminds me of an old Reader's Digest joke about a Mom and Pop restaurant with a simple wine list.

" #1. Red Wine
#2. White Wine
Please order by number".

Gaudi

Architect Antonio Gaudi (pronounced "gawdy, and the origin of that term) designed this, er, "unusual" cathedral. Construction began in 1882, and is nowhere near completed now.

Gaudi seems to have never met a straight line or simple curve that he liked.

Scaffolding and construction cranes are, presumably, not part of Gaudi's vision.

Balconies

Barcelona seems to be a city of balconies.

Savannah and Charleston don't hold a candle to this place.

Signing Off

Here is the fishing pier at sundown. It's hard to get tired of this place.

For the next three weeks, I'll be offline most of the time. If I can get a couple of posts up, I'll do it; if not, I'll restart around Sept. 24.

Toys

For the non-professional photographer, all camera gear items are toys. But this is REALLY a toy. The below images were captured with a Cross 6 filter screwed onto the end of the 52mm lens.

Pretty funky, huh?

Yeah, that's different. Now see what it does to this clock.

Finally, there was a fire engine on Venice Avenue - quite a splattering of light.

This may be where this filter has some value (or, not). I can see using this for abstract creations at carnivals, Disney World, etc.

Just one more way to piddle away some time.
