Bougainvillea (#145)

Maybe it's the extra rain, but the Bougainvillea seem more colorful this year.

The Fountain (#144)

Even a shutter speed of 1/1000 of a second doesn't totally freeze the water.

Different Flare (#143)

A linear flare leaves diagonal streaks from some of the lights. I used a protective UV filter, but I always use that. I find these streaks not unpleasant, but I've never had this before.

I would appreciate any insights.

The Tree (#142)

I saw this tree a few hours earlier.

What a difference the setting sun makes.

Weeds (#141)

Even weeds can be nice.

Junkyard Osprey (#140)

Man makes this platform for Ospreys, and look at the trashy nest that they make. Shameful!

I'm glad that the Osprey did not beat out the Bald Eagle for national bird.

Bob

Yellow (#139)

I find yellow flowers the most difficult to expose correctly - even harder than white flowers.

By histogram, these are properly exposed, but there wasn't much detail in the petals. The Topaz Adjust filters helped.

Palm Island, FL (#138)

The Gulf beach on Palm Island is still fairly pristine.

Yes, there are condos, but they are tastefully done.

Leverock's (#137)

Johnny Leverock's Restaurant, Cape Haze, FL.

I think that it looks better at night.

"V" is for Victory (#136)

Some people love their vodka...

...others love their olives.

The Dinghy Race (#135)

NOT!

The Classic (#134)

This beautiful Elco is about 30 - 32 feet long. You just don't see many like this anymore. I'd guess that she was built in the 30s or 40s.

Bob

A Chance (#133)

All winter, the weather pretty well shut down fishing.

At least now, there's a chance.

Glory Days (#131)

Doesn't working on a megayacht sound exciting?

Well, maybe.

Bob

Easterlies (#130)

Easterly winds make the Venice South Jetty very comfortable for fishing.

Even when blowing over 20 mph.

Upping the Ante (#127)

What happened to the fishing boat with 10hp outboard? Here's a 25ish foot fishing boat with the three Yamahogs, for a total of 750hp.

Look out...

Color Combo(#126)

Yellow and blue/purple work well for me.

Hopeful (#125)

It's hard not to be optimistic when spring colors abound.

Bob

Dogwood (#124)

Maybe I'll become a rest-stopologist. Everyone needs a specialty.

Hamburger Alley (#123)

Almost any town has this neighborhood.

Bob

Cherry Trees (#122)

Many years ago, a benefactor donated 100,000 cherry trees to Macon GA. They have beautiful, faintly pink, blossoms, but bear no fruit. The trees live only 12 - 15 years, but the offspring are thriving.

Redbud (#121)

Spent last weekend in Georgia. The redbuds, pear, cherry, dogwood, and azaleas are all in bloom. Nice.

This was at a rest stop along I75 - you never know where you might find something nice..

Friends (#120)

It's nice to see a pelican getting along with royal terns and laughing gulls.

Why can't people do this?

Bob

The Opportunist (#119)

Doing what he does best - eating.

Bob

Uh oh! (#118)

This is what happens on the west coast of Florida when there is a strong NW wind and a full moon.

Low, low, looowww tides.
