Poor Man's Caracara

Yesterday, while driving through Highlands County, G. H. spotted a cooperative Northern Caracara. Risking life and limb (mine), he pulled off of the highway and began clicking. My longest lens at the time was 200mm, so this is a severe crop.



Caracaras are predominantly found in Central and South America. The Northern Caracara can be found in several Florida counties, including Highlands. Or, so says Wikipedia.

This flower is on a vine at the Rookery. I think that it's a Morning Glory.



For me, white and yellow flowers are difficult to capture. Even if they are not "blown out", detail is often lacking.
