These four images are technically not very good, especially the first. They are aggressively cropped. But, the four together tell a compelling story.
The first is a bald eagle with a sea gull in its talons.
The next three are dinner in a pine tree. Notice the dangling feet in the last image.

You're right a compelling story and I think the images are great.
A couple of weeks ago I saw a small hawk do the same thing on the 14th hole at Lake Venice. It killed or struck a egret in mid-air, then held it on the ground until it died. When we approached the birds it flew off with egret, holding it by the head. I didn't have the camera with me to take any shots. EB
